More Torontonians choose house-free living

Toronto's skyline has been drastically transformed over the past few years with the abundance of new skyscrapers and condo developments. As a result, traffic congestion has never been worse and getting a last-minute reservation at a popular restaurant on a Saturday night only happens if you're BFFs with Drake. Now the latest census numbers prove just how many Torontonians are adopting this house-free lifestyle. There are officially more Toronto residents in apartments or condos than single detached homes, reports Statistics Canada. According to the 2016 Census data, 44 per cent of Torontonians called an apartment or condo their home, compared to 40 per cent who lived in singled detached homes.
